BP Conference and Training Center
We converted antiquated office areas and conference rooms into a technology-driven corporate convention center for new BP business units. This is a flexible space with the ability to accommodate small group meetings or larger "town hall" gatherings. We provided architectural and interior design, engineering and site observation services to meet the challenging design/bid/build schedule of 120 days.
The 32,000 SF Center is fully wireless, allowing employees to be interconnected throughout. Flexibility allows BP business units the capability to host intercontinental marketing meetings via satellite or on-site training seminars. Touch screen technology provides the user unlimited options when adjusting lighting levels, sound controls, presentation media, and room temperatures. In the event of a corporate emergency, the space can be converted into a crisis center hosting over 400 workstations supported by emergency standby power. The mechanical systems were converted from a constant volume system to an electronically controlled variable air system providing the ability to match the heating and cooling demands for the flexible room sizes and reduce overall operating costs.
